Is There a Difference Between a Life Coach, Confidence Coach, or Mindset Coach?

A life coach typically focuses on helping individuals to gain clarity on their goals and then reach their career or personal goals. They often use their preferred strategies or models to help people overcome their life or business challenges. Life coaches can help an individual to identify their passion and purpose, or have more fulfilling relationships, they can also act as accountability partners.

Month 1: Assessment and Feedback

  • Emotional Intelligence Assessment and Feedback on Results

Month 2: Self Perception

  • Self-Regard – Learning to respect yourself and develop your self-confidence. Banishing any thoughts or feelings of personal inferiority.
  • Self-Actualisation – Understanding the importance of constantly improving yourself by setting meaningful goals which lead you to find your purpose (Ikigai) in life.
  • Emotional Self-Awareness – Understanding your emotions and being aware of the impact they have on both yourself and other people.

Month 3: Self-Expression

  • Emotional Expression – Communicating your thoughts and feelings in a constructive and acceptable manner and in a way that can be understood by the recipient.
  • Assertiveness – Learning to stand up for your personal rights and values and saying ‘no’ to people in a non-offensive, and non-destructive manner.
  • Independence – Understanding the importance of being self-reliant, making decisions autonomously, and being free from emotionally depending on other people.

Month 4: Interpersonal

  • Interpersonal Relationships – Improving your relationships so they become mutually satisfying and meaningful whilst you remain emotionally open.
  • Empathy – Recognising, understanding, and appreciating how other people feel and learning to communicate empathy rather than sympathy.
  • Social Responsibility – Discovering ways to act in harmony with your conscious and add value to the welfare of others even though you might not benefit personally.

Month 5: Decision Making

  • Problem Solving – Developing the ability to find solutions to problems in situations where your emotions are involved.
  • Reality Testing – Recognising when your personal bias is preventing you from being objective and learning to see things as they are.
  • Impulse Control – Learning to avoid making hasty decisions or displaying impulsive behaviour.

Month 6: Stress Management

  • Flexibility – Developing the ability to adapt your emotions and behaviour when faced with unpredictable and unfamiliar situations.
  • Stress Tolerance – Learning to cope with stressful situations and viewing them positively believing you can control them rather than them controlling you.
  • Optimism – Understanding that your attitude is a choice and deciding to see the brighter side of life even when things aren’t going your way.
